Aabed is the founder and principal lawyer at Anaki Lawyers. His passion for criminal law began at a young age, and he has practiced predominantly in this area since his admission to the profession at 22. He holds a Bachelor of Laws and Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice and serves as a committee member at the Law Institute of Victoria’s Criminal Law Section.
Aabed maintains a strong courtroom presence, appearing regularly across all jurisdictions in Victoria, including the Magistrates’ Court, County Court, and Supreme Court. Notably, his first courtroom appearance occurred prior to his admission, a testament to his experience at the bar table. He has previously acted for high-profile lawyers, controversial political figures, and many other individuals facing serious criminal charges.
While his practice is broad, Aabed frequently handles complex criminal matters, with particular expertise in negotiating with prosecutors and rigorously challenging evidence. He is committed to being accessible to his clients at all times, ensuring they feel supported during vulnerable periods and are guided through each stage of the process without unnecessary legal jargon.
